Our Advocacy Philosophy
At The Option Group, we approach educational advocacy with the same care and dedication we would for our own children. We understand the delicate balance between collaboration and assertiveness in securing the best outcomes for your child’s education. With The Option Group, you gain a powerful ally in navigating the complexities of educational systems, ensuring your child receives the support and services they truly deserve.
Why do I need an educational advocate?
At The Option Group, we can help with many situations. Below are just a few scenarios that could help you or a loved one:
Jimmy was diagnosed with autism, but the school will not accept the diagnosis.
Sarah is not learning, yet the school just continues to pass her.
The school continually calls me to pick up Mark from school due to his behavior.
Janet does not do her work at school. She has to bring it home because she says she doesn’t understand and no one helps her.
The school keeps calling me to pick Bobby up early, but I will lose my job. What do I do?
Michael has OT outside of school. How do I get the school to do it so he doesn’t miss any more school?
Riley has been diagnosed with autism, but the school says she doesn’t need an IEP because her grades are good. How do we get them to help her?
Harrison has eloped five times, but the school won’t assign him a dedicated assistant or stop him. How do I get them to listen and keep him safe?
The school is not teaching my Savannah. She needs a private setting.

We see your child as one of our own. We would only agree to service for your child if we would agree for those services for our own children.
We like to work as a team with the school because that is in your child’s best interest. However, we are not there to make friends with them. If everyone works together as a team, things go very smoothly. If not, we will stand up for your and your child’s rights. The team must remain focused on your child’s needs to remain a productive team.
Remember, let us be the bad guys. We want you to maintain a good relationship with the school because your child is there every day and in their hands.
